The medicine is composed of mainly two active ingredients CLINDAMYCIN+NICOTINAMIDE, that belong to the class of drugs called lincomycin antibiotics. Combination medicine is used in the treatment of inflamed acne. It decreases the production of natural oil or sebum, responsible for causing acne. Acne is a skin problem wherein oil glands (sebaceous glands) of the skin become clogged, thereby forming pimples and sometimes cysts. Clindamycin is a lincomycin antibiotic that works by penetrating the skin and killing acne-causing bacteria. Nicotinamide is a type of vitamin B, responsible for exerting anti-inflammatory effects that are applied to the skin.

The synergetic effect of the gel reduces the swelling, redness, and tenderness associated with inflamed acne. It also prevents pimples and the formation of blackheads, and whiteheads on the skin.
