Ciprofloxacin 500 MG Tablet belongs to a class called quinolone antibiotics. It is used in the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections such as pneumonia, gonorrhea (STD), typhoid fever, infectious diarrhea, and infections of skin, bone, joint, abdomen, and prostate. Additionally, the medication is used to treat bronchitis, sinus infections, or urinary tract infections. Ciprofloxacin works by killing and stopping the growth of bacteria. Only Bacterial infections can be treated with this medication but it will not work for virus infections such as common cold, flu, etc. Over usage, and using Ciprofloxacin when not needed can cause the medication to not work for future doses. 

Take the Ciprofloxacin 500 MG Tablet as per the dosage and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not crush, chew or break the tablets as it can cause irritation in the mouth.
